Blue economy window – BlueInvest grants

Opis:

The Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, under the European Maritime and Fisheries fund, invites proposals for its blue economy window – BlueInvest grants. This supports SMEs in advancing market-readiness of new products, services or processes.

The objectives are to:

• bring to market new products, services, processes and business models in blue economy value chains and help advance their market-readiness;
• develop sustainable and innovative blue economy in Europe’s sea basins;
• de-risk the investment in these projects to facilitate their access to other financing schemes for the next stages of their activities.

Proposals should aim to develop business concepts further into a market-ready product, service or process aligned with the applicant’s blue economy growth strategy. Projects are therefore expected to reach technology readiness levels of between 6 to 8.

For-profit SMEs established in EU member states or overseas countries and territories may apply alone or as part of a consortium. Applicants established in a non-EU country may participate if their involvement is necessary in order to reach the objectives of the call.
The total budget is €20 million. Grants are worth between €700,000 and €2.5m each for up to three years.

Funding covers up to 70 per cent of project costs.
