Syllabus

Introduction:

  • The impact of public passenger transport on the environment
  • Importance of European and national legislation, standards

 

Organization of passenger transport in the urban environment:

  • the transportability of the line (in urban road transport), the capacity of the line, terminal and stop, the utilization of transport capacity, the capacity of public passenger transport);
  • Assessing the quality of public passenger transport (procedures);
  • Characteristics of passenger flows (transport need, transport requirement, model of passenger flow, characteristics of passenger flow);
  • Timetable (timetables, graphic timetables, timetable calculation, computer programs for the production and management of the timetable in urban road transport, the quality of timetable realization);
  • Organization of public passenger transport (financing of public passenger transport (market initiative, initiative by the authorities, role of competent authorities), types of contracts, planning, control and implementation of public passenger transport, development and improvement, concrete examples of organizing in Slovenia and abroad);
  • Single ticket (options and measures for the establishment of a single public passenger transport system);
  • Management and control of the implementation of public passenger transport.
