  • linking internal transport and warehousing with production and logistics activities,
  • internal transport with continuous and interrupted operation, floor and overhead means of internal transport
  • type of warehouses from the point of view of the purpose, type of goods, required factors of quality of storage, degree of automation, capacity, construction and location of warehouses, organization and operation of warehouses
  • possibility of technological procedures for storage of bulk, bulk, cooled, perishable, liquid, gaseous, dangerous , palletized goods
  • types of rack warehouses
  • approaches of the design of new and modernization of existing warehouses
  • the role of IT in warehousing business
  • the role of internal transport in production logistics
  • standardization of operations in warehouses

Goals and competencies

The objective of the course is to acquire and master the knowledge on technical and technological characteristics of transport means of internal transport, including types, equipment and storage technology, taking into account the quality of services, safe work, ecological requirements and cost management. The acquired competencies are the ability to plan and manage internal transport and warehousing, including the design and procurement of new technologies.
