Traffic Automation


Syllabus

Principles of electric and magnetic fields, concepts and solutions of digital electronics, traffic systems' sustainable supply with electric energy, communication technology (radio, mobile telephony) and navigation technology (microwave solutions, GNSS) in the capacity of automation traffic practical examples of intelligent transport systems (vehicle’s cruise control and antilock braking systems, automation of the supply chain with RFID, electronics in the traffic flow control – tolling, bus priority, ramp metering) and their impacts (em radiation, exhaust emissions).

Goals and competencies

Students get acquainted and update their knowledge starting with elementary principles of physics up to the concepts of automated and digitized traffic systems.
