  • Definition of the subject: human resources and human resource management
  • Theories on human needs and capabilities: development of needs, capabilities,
  • Ethics: values, generic essence of human beings, alienation, respect of values as a factor of motivation and safety in transport and traffic, vision, mission and values of a company.
  • Communication: verbal and nonverbal communication, specifics of communication in transport and traffic as a factor of safety.
  • Employment: employment process, management mix, managers code, specifics of employment in transport sector
  • Leadership: leadership function, social powers, leadership styles and company organization, leadership specifics in transportation industry.
  • Motivation: motivation theories, specifics of motivation in transport industry
  • Management of innovation processes: phases of innovative process, teamwork, resistance to innovations, specific s of innovations in transportation, contrasts and conflicts, intrigues, negotiations.

Goals and competencies

A student studying the subject:

  • realizes the basic psycho-physical properties of people that are important for their management in the work process,
  • be trained to regulate one's own human resources (abilities, knowledge and motivations) and to influence the behaviour of other people in the work. process in accordance with the principles of ethics and business goals of the organization,
  • is trained to influence human resources in specific traffic conditions, in particular in terms of ensuring safety.
