Goals and competencies
Objectives: To gain knowledge in the field of transport and economic analysis and the skills to apply this knowledge in all modes of transport.
Subject-specific competences include understanding of:
- approaches in the study of supply and demand in transport (qualitative approaches, time series analysis, econometric approaches);
- approaches in forecasting traffic demand (regression models, probit model, logit models);
- effects of the cost structure on the price of transport services and the impact of the price of transport services in the socio-economic development;
- processes in the optimization of costs in transport;
- methods of internalization of negative external effects of transport;
- evaluation methods of transport projects (BCA, MCA).
