Goals and competencies

Objectives: To gain knowledge in the field of transport and economic analysis and the skills to apply this knowledge in all modes of transport.

Subject-specific competences include understanding of:

  • approaches in the study of supply and demand in transport (qualitative approaches, time series analysis, econometric approaches);
  • approaches in forecasting traffic demand (regression models, probit model, logit models);
  • effects of the cost structure on the price of transport services and the impact of the price of transport services in the socio-economic development;
  • processes in the optimization of costs in transport;
  • methods of internalization of negative external effects of transport;
  • evaluation methods of transport projects (BCA, MCA).
