Technology and Organization of Railway Transport


Syllabus

Basic principles, rail transport services, organization of transport services, organizational structure of the carrier in freight and passenger transport, transport organization, means of transport, manipulative assets, facilities and facilities, bill of lading, transport costs and other rules for the carriage of goods, passenger transport, passenger traffic indicators, passenger kilometers, train kilometers, wagon kilometers, axle kilometers, average number of passengers, the circulation of passenger suites, the daily run of passenger wagons. Performance indicators in freight transport, freight flows, static load of freight wagons, freight wagon freight. Organization of work at the station, stationary business line, movement at the station, shift on the sling and pull-out rails. UIC method calculating the technical power of the line, the utilization of the capacity of the line, the impact of passenger traffic on the reduction of the technical power of the line. Timetable, material elements of the timetable, technical implementation of the timetable construction.

Goals and competencies

  • get acquainted with the technology of rail transport,
  • they are able to use theoretical knowledge in solving practical problems,
  • learn about the specificities of the technology of rail transport,
  • they are capable of designing technological processes,
  • to learn the necessary mathematical methods for the design of technological processes in rail transport,
  • require the proper use of transport equipment,
  • get to know the types of transport costs in rail transport
  • get acquainted with the organization, management and regulation of rail transport,
  • recognize the special features of the organization of the work of rail transport,
  • they are trained to plan work with freight, passenger coaches and locomotive work,
  • to learn the necessary mathematical methods for the design and production of timetables in rail transport,
  • they are able to use the methods for calculating the permeability of the line,
  • recognize chart types as the basis for drawing up schedules
