VodKO - Guided Cyclists along the Coastal Region [ŠIPK project]

Danijela Tuljak-Suban

12.9.2018 at 12.15, Lecture room 204

Abstract:

The cycling areas along the Slovenian coast are sparse, unconnected and poorly marked, with the exception of the Parenzana cycle path, which runs along the route of the former narrow-gauge railway that connected Trieste and Poreč. Existing maps do not contain any relevant information as they are only suitable for tourists visiting the sights of the coast on foot or by car. In the course of the project, the students collected information on the cycling infrastructure and tourist offer, and on the possibility of integrating the use of the bicycle with other means of transport (bus, train or boat).

Abstract:

The MUSE project enables partners from public administration bodies to improve their mobility planning expertise and, consequently, energy efficiency, and reduce CO2 emissions. The project team is composed in such a way that it can bring about the improvement of cross-border cooperation in these areas and the implementation of innovative sustainable mobility services.
