ICTS - International Conference on Transport Science

The International Conference on Transport Science (ICTS) is a scientific conference traditionally organised by the Slovene Association of Transport Sciences.

The first ICTS conference was held on 20 and 21 November 1997 in Portorož, Slovenia. It featured 58 papers, with authors coming mainly from Slovenia and Croatia. Over the years, the conference has gained an increasingly international character. Due to the abundance of similar events and rationalisation, in 2013 the ICTS was merged with the International Conference on Maritime Science organised by the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split. Since then, the ICTS conference has been held every other year.

At ICTS 2020, we hosted approximately 100 experts in the field of transport and traffic at a two-day hybrid event. 65 papers written by authors coming from 9 different countries have been published in the conference proceedings. This time, the conference was affected by the covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully, the jubilee 20th ICTS will be held in-person in a covid-free context.
