ICTS is a scientific conference traditionally organized by Slovenian Society of Transport Sciences. The first ICTS conference was held in Portorož on November 20-21, 1997. It included 58 papers, whose authors were mainly from Slovenia and Croatia. Over the years, the conference has grown and taken on an increasingly international character. Due to the abundance of similar events and for reasons of rationalization, in 2013 we combined the conference with the International Maritime Science Conference of the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split, and since then the ICTS conference has been held every second year.
In the last organized ICTS conference, ICTS 2020, we hosted around 100 experts in the field of transport to a two-day hybrid event and included 65 papers in the proceedings. The authors came from 9 countries. This conference was affected by the new Corona virus, and we hope that the 20th jubilee edition of the ICTS conference will be held under more pleasant circumstances.
