Exploring the impact of travel coupons

Abstract:
Green transformation and sustainable travel are one of the key challenges in transport. So-called travel coupons (vouchers) are among the measures proposed. These are one of the few solutions that encourage more sustainable forms of mobility (modal shift) as well as regulating the demand for travel itself (demand management). However, as a completely new concept, their impacts are largely unknown, be it the impact on travel habits, accessibility implications, travel options, environmental impact, social equity, etc. Through a short interactive game, we will learn how coupons work and how they are traded, and see the first results of the research.
