Engine Room Resource Management (Engine Room Simulator)
Aim: To reduce the risk of accidents at sea. We focus on casualty and human error prevention, but also on increasing operational uptime and daily efficiency. In a simulator, we train the officers in handling dynamically escalating situations emphasising the need to apply learning in real-life situations. The participants are provided with tools to improve teamwork, leadership, communication, decision-making, and resource management.
Entry requirements: Seagoing Experience as an Engineering Officer.
Course content: STCW sections A-III/1, A-III/2, and in accordance with IMO Model Course 2.07.
Duration: 30 hours.
Course fee: 880.00 €; min 2 candidates (agreement possible for fewer candidates).
